A quiz based on mood, personality, and musical taste to determine your next possible favorite band or singer!

Author´s Notes and Disclaimers:
My personal taste in music is fairly diversified; I’ll listen to almost anything; however I don’t have many songs in the rap genre or in jazz or blues to recommend them in this quiz. And I don't know much about classical. The only songs that I like in the rap genre is by Eminem and they‘re “Mockingbird“ and “When I‘m Gone“, which I find touching. I don’t know anything about jazz, but I hope to find something in there, so excuse me if a certain genre or two is not in this quiz.
Hi, how are you today? Better than yesterday?
I’m doing great! Every day gets better and better.
Today’s been good. Better than yesterday.
Eh, every day feels the same.
Today was OK. Yesterday was better, but I’m sure tomorrow will be better than today.
Today was bad compared to yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Today was bad, yesterday was bad, and tomorrow is sure to be awful too.

How often do you search for new things to listen to?
Every day! It’s my goal to find something else I like every single day (or at least once a week).
I scour through the internet nearly every day, so I do end up finding stuff, but I wouldn’t say that I make a goal out of it.
I’m very picky about my music, so I don’t really try, but if I do find something I like, I cheer mentally.
I don’t “search”, I just listen to the radio, and if I like what I hear, I write it down.
Eh. I don’t search at all. I’m pretty content with what I have, but if you think I might like something . . . .
Which of these lyrics or sounds of the music do you identify with most?
Quick touches of the keyboard against whispers along with the electric violin. The electric violin shrills and the quick pounding of drums bursts. (“Unlaced” by Emilie Autumn)
If fear’s what makes us decide / Our future journey / I’m not along for the ride / ‘Cause I’m still learning / To try and touch the sun - My fingers burning / Before you’re old you are young / Yeah I’m still learning (“Falling Down” by Avril Lavigne)
Am I guilty or am I just waiting around / For the tide to come in so the truth can come out / And if I had a dollar for every time / I repented the sin and commit the same crime / I’d be sitting on top of the world today / I’d be sitting on top of the world today (“God Help Me” by Emilie Autumn)
I don’t wanna be the girl who has to fill the silence / The quiet scares me ‘cause it screams the truth / Please don’t tell me that we had that conversation / I won’t remember, save your breath, ‘cause what’s the use? (“Sober” by P!nk)
You feel like a candle in a hurricane / Just like a picture with a broken frame / Alone and helpless like you’ve lost your fight / But you’ll be alright, you’ll be alright / ‘Cause when push comes to shove / You’ll taste what you’re made of / You might bend ’til you break / ’Cause it’s all you can take / On your knees you’ll look up / Just like you’ve had enough / You get mad, you get strong / Wipe your hands, shake it off / Then you stand (“Stand” by Rascal Flatts)
Sharp strokes of the piano, one key at a time, with bursts of chime bells, the notes slowly resonates deeper (“Kusa wo Fumu Oto” from the anime Mushi-shi)
Rock what you got, rock what you got / Don’t ever let them make you stop / Rock what you got, light up the lot / No one can rock the way you rock (“Rock What you Got” by Superchick)
Don’t try to label me hypocrite / ‘Cause I will do what I want to / Some will say that I’m counterfeit / But I’ll be who I want to (“Hypocrite” by Sky Sweetnam)
We’re all mad in our own way / Colors paint the gray away / Different people are the same / Each reveals the meaning / We’re all mad in our own way / Fill the sky in different shades / Be the story on each page / Each reveals the meaning (“We’re All Mad” by Natasha Bedingfield)
I’m not good enough / I’m not what they want / But let me tell you what / I know who I am / So just throw me out / For not fitting in / I’ll stand my ground and be an outcast / (“Outcast” by Kerri Roberts)
Danger warning levels hissed out loud / I saw the silver lining hidden in a mushroom cloud / Now I’m reeling from the shock at ground zero / If yesterday you would have stood up proud / Then why tonight have you thrown in with the stoning crowd? / I’ll breathe through the foetus of a new day kicking . . . (“Foetus of a New Day Kicking” by Cradle of Filth)
I am everywhere, / Everywhere but here, / For here is where you grace / The nameless. / Were I not so weak, / Could I even speak / I’d warn that you should leave / Before you’re seen with me (“Too Shy to Scream” by AFI)
If you end up not liking the results of this quiz, what would you do?
Move on. It’s a quiz made by a person, so of course it wouldn’t be perfect.
See if anything on the featured side of YouTube would direct me to something that I do like.
Take the quiz again and see the different results.
Never take my quizzes again.
Comment with a list of music I should be listening to.
According to my mother, my taste in music is “weird” and “strange”, does this opinion deter you from taking this quiz?
Define “weird” and “strange” (in an apprehensive way).
Define “weird” and “strange” (with a smile)
It depends. If the lyrics are the weird part, like they’re singing about something controversial, then I might not like it.
It depends. If the music is the weird part but the lyrics are good, then I might not like it.
I’ll give it a chance.
Yes. It deters me a lot, but seeing as I only have a couple more questions left, I’ll risk it.
Do you like music that tells a story, has historical or mythological background, and/or refers to a book? Or do you just like going with the main feeling?
Mmm, I more like songs that convey feeling, like love songs, or revenge break-up songs, sad songs, etc.
I love songs that tell stories. I get it, most songs have a story behind it, but I love songs that have a beginning, middle, and end story, like there’s a plot within the actual song.
Mythology rocks—there’s so much you can sing about it!
I like a lot of music, but songs that have a connection with books or classic literature, I seem to get attached to them more.
If there are songs that are connected to history, I’m all over it! It actually helps me pass history class.
It doesn’t matter, I just like the sound and rhythm of the music.

If you do like your results, would you let me know to see if I have any more recommendations, or maybe you would like to recommend me some more music?
Probably not. I’m not a big commenter.
Most likely not; I’m too busy looking up the music and then I forget.
Maybe I’ll tell you if I like the results, but I probably wouldn’t recommend anything.
Maybe I’ll share my music with you.
Oh yeah! I’ll tell you if I like my results.
Yeah, I’ll probably recommend a few bands back if we have similar tastes.
It depends on my mood when I read the results.
